Charlie the Yorkie Poo or Yorkiepoo

The Story of Charlie

My daughter was sort of down in the dumps.  A lady whom she was renting from (OK she’s like a sister or mother to her when I’m not there) bought her a dog.  I thought it would be a bichon.   Well the dog Sis’s guardian angel bought her was a Yorkie Poo.  He was 9 months old and his first parents were separating so he is sort of a rescue or adoption.   He had some cowering issues, he really hadn’t been abused but ..  The cutest thing Charlie does is if he messes in the house you say Charlie aren’t you ashamed  and he peeks back over his shoulder @ you like Betty Boop.  Yes I said Charlie still messes in the house and he was 9 months old.  That may be why he has cowering issues.  So here is an overdose of Charlie.

Remember the bulldog puppies?  Charlie and his “mama” Sissy (actually we call her Sissy Beth, can we say south Missouri?) went to visit my other daughter so Sissy could nursemaid the bulldog puppies because everyone else had jobs and school.  Bulldog puppies have to be put in with their mother every 2 or 4 hours or something (obviously I didn’t help with the last batch, I was working).  So Sissy Charlies mama is paying all this attention to the puppies.

What follows are our texts the morning of the bulldogs birth.

Sissy wrote and said Charlie is not fond of the puppies.

I wrote back and said Poor Charlie I feels so solly for him.  (can you feel the dripping sarcasm?  You see Charlie was the puppy and Dispatch was the one upset by HIM a couple months ago)

She wrote back and said some love him some don’t.

I wrote back and told her I love the  poor little snookums Refund.  (I don’t think she believed me but I am sort of fond of him, he’s no longer CONSTANTLY in motion,  it’s only 99% of the time)(I found out he cost money and I said I knew a good name for him REFUND!!!!, Sissy did not see the extreme humor in that? )

And tomorrow is Charlies BIRTHDAY!!  I texted her and told her she should have a cake and a party and she said she should, so I don’t know if we are getting cake pictures or not? Do NOT be surprised if we do!

And BTW is it texted or text?  Texted sounds stupid but text can’t be right?

You are welcome Nathan. Charlie tried to herd cattle the other day. He was stopped in time. LOL
    Thank you for stopping by!

Charlie is a real sweetie and very cute. Maybe with time and work his cowering issues will resolve.
I don’t think texted is right either. Text is a noun and I think you send it -”I sent a text.” :) Just my opinion for what it’s worth.

  • I have a little beagle that is a dear and really good most of the time – you see he pees on my basement floor if you do not take him out RIGHT when he needs it! But I still love him and am getting use to jumping, and he is getting better at waiting after a few months. He was abused and we got him from a beagle rescue. We simply love Atari, and he is a part of the family.

Awww look at Charlie isn’t he cute?

No texted, I often text back or sent a text message, it’ longer but I’m sure it’s better than “texted”.

Chris B they do get attached to you. Dispatch I would almost trust anywhere, except our basement floor! He thinks this is dirt for some reason.

Charlie is a doll isn’t he. He is quite a clown too.

AL, Thanks, text back sounds good. I will tell Zach.

Thanks Rae for the sent a text. Now we need to tell them on dancing with the stars! LOL
Charlie doesn’t cower like he used to. He’s REALLY gotten more outgoing. REALLY

  • Oh I love Charlie!! Tell Sissy to be patient, some dogs take a little longer than others. Refund is a great name, my husband recommended Ira as a name too (as in the retirement fund) since he thinks all of our money goes to the pets. BTW, I have relatives names Mae Frances, Annie Mae, Barbara Jean, Betty Lou, etc so I don’t think Sissy Beth is too bad but I did grow up south of the Mason-Dixon =)

This is sissy and I might add that my boy only potties in the house when its my fault for not taking him out. His previous house he had a doggy door and was very used to it but I can honestly say the times he’s made a mess have been my fault and I can’t punish him more than looking at the poor fella and feeling sorry for him when I ask “Charlie why’d you potty in the house”…. I’ll have to send you a picture of him in his “I’s so sorry I just had to go and couldn’t hold it… please don’t spank me” look which of course I don’t spank… I giggle…

See I told you the dog could do no real wrong? see above, Sissys comment?
It is a totally cute look Charlie gives when you reprove him and he probably wouldn’t mess if we had a doggie door. I don’t think?

Denise thanks for stopping by. IRA is an excellent pet name. Maybe our next bichon;-)
Re the two name southern thing, if you had a middle name that was short I think that was the clue for the two name thing. My dad loved to call my mom Annie Jo. My cousin was Mary Beth, where Sissy got the Beth, the boys didn’t get middle names unless I was bothering them or yelling @ them, then they had nifty middle names, Wayne and Dean, you can make those sound real snotty. My oldest daughters middle name is Joi but we don’t use it that much except to call her JJ. We were N of the Mason Dixon, I think, barely.
