Too big for a Bobcat in relation to the trees they say. We do have Bobcats though. I saw my first one about 20 years ago running across and highway by the lake and it was like huge. Once my husband was down @ "shop" which is like 600 yards away or so down the hill. We've had them here, especially a sickly one that "died" because I'm not sure it's legal to kill them even if they are like barely able to walk and white. Anyway Bobcats are old hat now. I'll have to find my armadillo pictures, now that was interesting!! LOL

It does look like some sort of cat but it's hard to tell if it's a mountain lion or a bobcat. I think the animals have been around all along but food is probably getting harder to find and it brings them closer to civilization. I would keep an eye on all the animals.

We have cougars, coyotes, black bear, elk, moose and all sorts of critters in this area. It is very rare to hear of one close to town but it is possible.

Sorry I have been absent, between getting ready for winter and cleaning up after our windstorms (another one tonight) I barely get any time on the computer. Hubby is also out of town for a week so he's not here to help. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

doesn't look like panther or mountain lion, so I'm gonna guess bobcat. Do know some panthers are apparently making their way up from Mexico into the states, but last I heard, they were in Califnoria and perhaps other areas of Southwest.
